This drawing is based off of a comic book I was starting, about the last mermaid who didn't choose to become human and accept a mate. So she was condemned to be human and live eternity alone. The story was suppose to be about her struggle through the ages in search of love only to be rejected. She would plead for her freedom of this curse to the heavens, and finally she was beaten down so only to be released at long last of her curse. A curse which lasted almost 600 years.
In the end of just the first sequence of the comic, I gave up because time was too consuming, but for me this story is still in my head just looking at this drawing.
Not much work being presented on Fine Art as I used to as I have become a Loom Knitting Designer. I still do occasional work with digital art for commissions, and do photography and draw, but for now this is more of a past time then it used to be.

Talk about a perky mermaid! :-) She is certainly attention getting. I love the colors and the expression on her face. So well done!

Now this one took some time to produce I'll bet! I see a brunette theme here. Very cool.
