Creating A Childrens Book Peice by Peice

I have been commissioned by my boss to create a children's book for our company. It works around the handicapped people. So far I have several drawings in order, and hope to complete this project by Sept to work on publishing at that point. The Drawing posted is the first of about 20. I am excited to see where this goes. It is the first time I have had the opportunity to work on something of this size.

The Bozwell Adventures
It Starts With One

Bozwell was a happy go lucky bear, who loved people, and helping them.

One day Bozwell was out walking when he saw a unique individual. This individual had braces on their legs, and needed help getting back up. Bozwell went up to the boy, and held out a paw. The boy looked up at Bozwell with a beaming face, and took his paw, and got back on his feet. He then gave Bozwell a big hug and said “Thank You”. Bozwell asked the boy if he would like to join him for a walk.

Bowell and the boy began walking, when he and the boy ran into another unique individual. It was a little girl, who was trying to play ball by herself. She had a face that looked different from most, but still sweet as sunshine. Bozwell and the boy asked if they could play ball with her, which she clapped excitedly to have someone to play with.

While they were playing, they saw a boy with a cane who was about to walk through the game when a young woman ran up behind him “Honey Child, you are too bold for your own good” she said with a smile. “I’m sorry about that.” she said looking at Bozwell. Bozwell said it was no problem, and would the boy like to play. “Well he can not see to catch it but he can certainly throw the ball.” she said. “Great, the more the merrier!” said Bozwell. The boy shouted with joy, jumping up and down to be able to play a game with others.

As they played more kids and adults join in the fun. Eventually there were people of all kinds cheering and playing. What started with one boy, had grown into something wonderful and harmonious.

When night time came and all had returned home, Bozwell was by himself thinking. Thinking how wonderful the day was. Surrounded by all the special bright people. Thinking about how he would like to do that everyday. So he began planning. A plan to create a group of unique people and adults who would fill each life with a helping hand, cheering support, and a joyous harmony for each other.

So he posted up posters, and talked to everyone, to get people of all kinds involved. Within a few weeks the group had formed and was growing, full of all Bozwell had hoped for. With Bozwell’s love, he had created help, support, and joy for unique people every where.

In an effort to make the world a better place, it starts with one, and can grow endlessly with caring, loving, and hard work.
